Zonta House

Furniture Options took great pride in its contribution to the establishment of the new Zonta House Refuge Association purpose built facility “Koort Kulaark”. Our engagement in the project encompassed the provision of furniture for 10 crisis care rooms, 18 independent living units, staff offices, counselling rooms, communal areas, and outdoor spaces.

Meticulous attention was dedicated to the thoughtful selection of furniture and finishes for the project. The chosen products were not only required to be durable but also had to exude comfort and an inviting ambiance. Zonta House aimed to create a safe, welcoming and calm environment that would positively impact victim/survivors, facilitating a seamless transition.

For the lounges, occasional chairs, ottomans, and coffee tables, Fenabel's soft furnishings and coffee tables were carefully chosen. S.CAB Design's seating and tables were seamlessly integrated throughout the facility, encompassing communal areas, pavilions, and both indoor and outdoor spaces for residents. To achieve a harmonious aesthetic, mango timber bedside tables and TV units were selected, complemented by ceramic and bamboo bedside and floor lamps.

Named Koort Kulaark, translating to "heart of our home" in the Noongar language, this purpose-designed facility was established to provide women escaping violence with a modern, secure, and suitable environment that encourages connection and preserves dignity. It serves as a space where survivors can commence the healing journey and progress towards a life free from violence and abuse.
